FREEDOM FROM DIETING FOR A SLIM HEALTHY BODY

We all live in a very competitive environment today and everybody needs to try to do their utmost in all aspects of their lives to keep their noses above water and be just a little ahead of the field. One of most important things we need to do is to eat healthily, so that we get all the vitamins and minerals, proteins and carbohydrates and minimum quantities of oils and sugar for our bodies to be able to ward off illn998376_585821798117562_1842452282_nesses, injuries and general malaise. We also need to get sufficient sleep in order to function to our maximum potential, day in and day out.

Nutrition forms a huge part of our lives. Unfortunately, in this not so perfect world, our kids eat too much sugar and salt from processed foods. The net result is that a huge percentage of children, teenagers and adults are overweight and some even become obese.

A slim, healthy body is the aim of all these people with weight problems, but very few of them know how to break the cycle of their bad eating habits which have been ingrained over decades. Many of them choose to go on crash diets which comprise a minimum of food and thus a minimum of calories. Almost everyone knows that if your body uses up more calories than it gets from the food ingested, it will start to use up the fat stored in the body’s cells. This is absolutely true, but the fact of the matter is that nobody is able to continue with this stringent type of food regime for very long. The result is that after only a week or two, they succumb to all the foods that they crave – whether good for them or not – and any weight they may have lost is put back on quickly; and usually more too. This type of diet is detrimental to one’s health, as one will not be getting the proper nutrition the body needs to function property.

The very best way to achieve a slim, healthy body is to cut down on the fat and sugar in your daily diet. Up the quantities of fresh vegetables you eat to fill you up so that you are not hungry. Eat one protein based meal every day, but make it lean fish or chicken. Eat carbohydrates for energy once a day too and have fresh fruit instead of sugary cakes and cookies. This way, you will get a slim, healthy body over time – and it will stay that way
